Dengue is a major public health concern during monsoon. To promote health awareness and responsible citizenship among students, PM Shri KV Pangode organized an Anti Dengue Awareness Quiz on 30th July 2026.
The quiz aimed to spread knowledge about dengue prevention and encourage students to become health ambassadors in their homes and community.
OBJECTIVES
- Developing critical thinking, health awareness, and problem-solving skills.
- Moving beyond rote learning to practical application of knowledge for community well-being.
- Creating responsible citizens who contribute to Swachh Bharat and Health for All.
- Equipping students with life-saving information to protect themselves and others

Focus Areas: Symptoms of Dengue, Prevention methods, Breeding sources of Aedes mosquito
Key Messages Displayed: Say NO to Dengue
Prevent: Cover water containers, Remove stagnant water, Keep surroundings clean, Use mosquito repellents

OUTCOMES OF THE ACTIVITY
Increased Awareness: 100% of participating students learned 4 key prevention steps for Dengue.
Behavioral Change: Students pledged to check and clean stagnant water sources at home and in school.
Student Leadership: The winner and participants will act as "Dengue Warriors" to spread the message in their neighborhoods.
NEP Goal Achieved: The quiz developed health literacy, critical thinking, and civic responsibility among students - key competencies highlighted in NEP 2020.
Community Impact: The slogan “Small steps today, A DENGUE free tomorrow!” will be taken home by students to involve parents.
