Display of books as part of STEM Week ( July 14-18)

 As part of STEM Week (July 14-18,2025), a display of books related to STEM related activities were displayed in the library. The students of classes VI-XII were given an opportunity to see the display. The books included topics to explore interdisciplinary concepts through hands-on activities, real world applications and inquiry driven learning, thereby strengthening the 21st century skills. Students were also given activities related to STEM during library periods.

തിരു താലൂക്ക് ലൈബ്രറി കൗൺസിൽ സംഘടിപ്പിച്ച അഖില കേരള വായന മത്സരത്തിൽ യുവജനസമാജം ഗ്രന്ഥശാല ബാലവേദി പ്രസിഡൻ്റ് അഭിജിത്ത് പ്രദീപ് മൂന്നാം സ്ഥാനവും സെക്രട്ടറി സിയാര പത്താം സ്ഥാനവും കരസ്ഥമാക്കി ജില്ലാതല മത്സരത്തിന് അർഹത നേടി. ഇരുവർക്കും അഭിനന്ദനങ്ങൾ.

Master Abhijith Pradeep (IXA) of PM Shri KV Pangode secured third prize in the reading competition conducted by the Library Council (Thiruvananthapuram Taluk). He also became eligible for the State level reading competition to be conducted. Congratulations Abhijith 🥳

READER'S EXPO

This post is by Library , KV Pangode READER’S EXPO As part of the National Library Week to be celebrated from 14-20th November, a Reader’s expo will be conducted on 18/11/24 in the library. Students can participate in any number of competitions. Prizes and certificates will be awarded to winners. DRAWING/PAINTING COMPETITIONS  Book mark designing  Slogans on reading  Poster designing  Brochure on your favorite book or author  Book jacket designing  Bottle art based on book or characters  Book Character poster READING/ SPEAKING COMPETITIONS  Introduce a book to your friend  News reading competition  Inspiration from leaders- Read a book about world leaders. Speak about what you learned from their lives.  Folklore fun- Read a folk tale of any state or region and present the story in your own words PROJECTS 1. This post is by Library , KV Pangode "Meet the author" sessions are always invaluable experiences for students. Getting insights directly from authors about their journey into writing, their creative process, and the sources of their inspiration can spark the imaginations of young minds and inspire them to explore their own storytelling abilities. Hearing authors read excerpts from their books adds a personal touch and allows students to connect more deeply with the narratives. Moreover, having the opportunity to get books signed by the authors can create lasting memories and motivate students to delve further into literature. It's a wonderful way to foster a love for reading and writing among young readers and aspiring writers. 32 students of the Literary and Dramatic club of PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya Pangode got a fantastic opportunity to meet and interact with the renowned author of children’s fiction Smt. Khyrunnisa A. Hearing stories about her new book "The Couch Potato Who Said Ouch And Other Funny Stories” and being able to ask questions about her writing process turned to be an enriching experience for everyone involved. It's great to see organizations like Mathrubhumi Books facilitating such opportunities for literary engagement and learning.

हिंदी पुस्तक प्रदर्शनी As part of the Hindi Pakwada celebration, a display of Hindi books was arranged in the library on 14th September 2023. The programme was inaguarated by Senior PGT Shri. Nagarajan along with the Hindi team members.

This post is by Library , KV Pangode LIBRARY ACTIVITY- GROUP READING AND NEWS MAKING The students of class VIII were given a group activity to create their own newspaper with their own titles after reading the student edition of The Hindu newspaper. The students prepared news on different heads such as Sports, Inspired by Fiction, Ecosystem and Fifa World Cup

BOOK FAIR BY MATHRUBHUMI BOOKS A book fair was conducted in the school by Mathrubhumi Books on 21/7/23. All the students from class I-XII were given a chance to see and buy the books from the 3 days book fair. The Vice Principal Smt. Maya M inaguarated the book fair along with the school captains and class 1 students.

MEET THE AUTHOR

A 'Meet the Author' programme was conducted for the reader's club members . The chief guest was Lt.Col Smt. Sonia Cheriyan  author of the book "The Indian Rainbow". She interacted with the reader's club members on 21/7/23.
