Library Tour
The activity Library Tour was conducted for class VIII A as part of the Reader's Club activity. The students were divided into four groups of 10 students each. they were given a short introduction about the library, its resources and different genres of books available in the library. They were also given information regarding the classification system used in the library ie. Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) and how to take books according to the number.
After that each group was given activity to find a specific book from the book rack
Group I
- A biography book
- An encyclopedia
- A quiz book
Group - II
- A Hindi fiction book
- A biography
- A physics book
Group -III
- A book of career guidance
- A botany book
- A dictionary
Group -IV
- A competitive examination book
- An English fiction
- A year book
Each group was asked to present the books in front of the students.
